THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE

On the 24th November our Managing Director Paul Whelan, Tracey Dickens (DWH Commercial Director), Andy Preston (DWH Commercial Director) and Matthew Vale (WATES Framework Manager) hand delivered a cheque for £54,668.70 to the Birmingham Children's Hospital. This grand total was raised from the successful 3 Peaks Challenge 2011 organised and partially funded by MV Kelly Ltd.

We were delighted to visit The Birmingham Children’s Hospital to hand over the cheque to the Donations department and see where the money is going and the specific medical equipment, wards and children the money is so desperately helping. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone that participated in the charity event, a fantastic achievement all round!

Safety Statement—Think Safe from the HSE

“Provisional data for the year April 2010 to March 2011 shows that 50 workers in the construction industry were killed.

The construction industry continues to see more deaths than any other industrial sector. We must not lose sight of the fact that 50 construction workers failed to come home last year and that will have devastated those they leave behind.

We will continue to work to reduce the number of fatal accidents however it is ultimately the responsibility of those who create health and safety risks to control them and prevent people being killed and injured. It's about mindset - planning jobs properly, thinking before you act and taking basic steps to protect yourself and your friends.“ HSE July 2011.
