Looks like a great family day out for a worthy cause.

Rogue's Place Charity Donation
Thanks to everyone in our offices for donating money from a dress down Friday and buying raffle tickets.
Our Swan Valley office recently took part in 'Movember', although whether this was to raise funds for charity or as a result of being too lazy to shave is still open to debate.....
Movember is a fantastic movement, set up to enable men to be more informed about prostate and testicular cancer and and poor mental health and to help fund research and clinical trials into cancers specifically affecting men.
Ian completed the 5km Manchester Colour Run in aid of the Macular Society. He has already raised well above his £500 target. Apparently, this involved being covered in spray paint at various stages of the run.
Prostate Cancer UK
Pictured here is Peter Woodward, representative of Prostate Cancer UK accepting a cheque for £10,000 from buying manager Ceri Gronow. This massive donation was made up from various competitions, raffles and auctions at the Summer garden party, kindly hosted by Managing Director Paul Whelan.
So many people worked hard to make the event a success, sparing their time, gathering together fantastic prizes from numerous suppliers, baking cakes, sorting out the food & drink etc. We are very proud to be associated with Prostate Cancer UK and hope to do more for them in the future.
Charity Garden Party
Thanks to some amazing generosity from our suppliers this year’s summer garden party has helped raise over £15,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and our local Marie Curie hospice in Solihull.
We have raised money for these charities in the past and are always impressed with the help and advice they give us notwithstanding the fantastic work they do with the money raised.
Much praise should also go to Paul & Karen Whelan, who host the party in their house and garden. This involves much disruption, clearing up afterwards and time setting things up. It is really appreciated.
Congratulations to Lee Simkins for completing the Birmingham 10k run on Sunday 3rd May. Lee’s effort helped to raise lots of money for Birmingham Women’s Hospital through sponsorship.
More great fundraising, this time from Mark Bullock in the buying department. Mark completed the 22mile Bridgnorth Walk and raised £400 for the ‘Friends of Alfie Johnson’ charity on Sunday 24th May. He is currently walking around the office like John Wayne
